1. Dover-Foxcroft to Greenville Loop (105 Miles)
This manageable loop combines scenic trails, historical sites, and hearty meals.
Starting Point: Park and unload at AE Robinson on Route 16 in Dover-Foxcroft.
Trail Route: Follow ITS 85N through Monson to Greenville (42 miles).
Lunch Spot: Stop at Stress Free Moose Pub, 65 Pritham Avenue, Greenville (opens daily at 11 AM).
Scenic Detour: Visit the historic B-52 Lookout near Elephant Mountain.
Return Path: Head 13 miles north on ITS 85, connect to 110 trail toward Milo, then loop back via ITS 82W to your starting point.
Fuel Stop: Fill up in Greenville before heading back.
2. Millinocket to Shin Pond Loop (130 Miles)
This journey offers convenient rentals and thrilling trails.
Start Options:
In Millinocket, rent sleds at New England Outdoor Center.
Near Mt. Chase, rent at Shin Pond Village.
Trail Route: Take ITS 85N to Mt. Chase. Stop for lunch and fuel at Shin Pond Village.
Return Path: Head south on ITS 81, refuel in Patten, then connect to ITS 83W to Millinocket.
Celebrate the Ride: End your day with a drink at Highlands Tavern, Pamola Lodge, Millinocket.
3. Moosehead Trail (175 Miles)

Starting Point: Begin in Greenville and follow ITS 86W to Rockwood.
Highlight: Glide across Moosehead Lake to Mt. Kineo, weather permitting. Always stay on marked trails.
Trail Route: From Rockwood, take ITS 88W, then connect to Moosehead Trail (MT) markers.
Fuel and Rest Stops:
Pittston Farm (31 miles from Rockwood) offers fuel and meals.
Kokadjo Trading Post (60 miles from Pittston) provides snacks, gas, and a restaurant.
Return Path: Follow ITS 85S back to Greenville.
