Whether you're a seasoned racer or a recreational paddler, there's a race for everyone!

Saturday, May 3 — Meduxnekeag Race

  • Time: 10:00 AM

  • Location: Houlton

  • Type: Whitewater, 8 miles

  • Point Series: Downriver Series Race #8

  • Registration: 8–9:30 AM ($20 adult, $15 youth). Pre-register at greaterhoulton.com.

  • Special: Pre-register by 5/2 and score a free t-shirt (limited supply)!


Sunday, May 4 — Aroostook River Spring Runoff Canoe and Kayak Race

  • Time: Mandatory Race Briefing 9:45 AM, Race Start 10:00 AM

  • Location: Lower Lyndon Street Boat Launch, Caribou

  • Type: Flatwater, 6.2 miles

  • Registration: Online or day-of (8:30–9:30 AM). Online Registration available.

  • Fee: $10 adults, $5 youth.

  • Special: Cash payouts for division winners! Free t-shirts for the first 75 participants.

Saturday & Sunday, May 3–4 — Kenduskeag Slalom

  • Location: Kenduskeag Stream, Bangor

  • Type: Class II+ Whitewater

  • Point Series: NE Slalom Series

  • Registration: $20 for first race, discounts for additional races. Register here.

Saturday, May 10 — Baskahegan Stream Canoe Race

  • Time: 7:30 AM Check-In

  • Location: East Grand High School, Danforth

  • Type: Flatwater, 34 miles (wilderness paddling)

  • Registration: Pre-register online at Canoe the Wild.
