Join passionate food lovers, bakers, and artisans at The Maine Artisan Bread Fair 2025, where bread takes center stage and community spirit rises like a well-proofed loaf. Hosted by the Maine Grain Alliance, this one-of-a-kind event is a joyful celebration of real bread, traditional baking techniques, and locally sourced food—set in the heart of Skowhegan’s beautiful countryside.


Now in its 15th year, the Bread Fair has become one of Maine’s premier summer festivals, attracting thousands who crave not only delicious wood-fired pizzas, fresh sourdoughs, and pastries—but also meaningful connection with the people and practices behind their food.


What to Expect at the 2025 Bread Fair


🍞 Tasting Heaven – Savor artisan breads, buttery pastries, wood-fired pizza, halvah, and more—freshly made by local and regional bakers.

Directions to Skowhegan State Fairgrounds


From I-95 North:

Take Exit 133 (Waterville/Skowhegan), follow Route 201 North into Skowhegan. At the light, turn right and head into town. Circle the rotary and take a right. The fairgrounds entrance is about 1 mile on the left (next to Wal-Mart).


From I-95 South:

Take Exit 157 (Newport/Skowhegan), follow ME-11 north, turn left onto Route 2 south toward Skowhegan. Go through the rotary, then turn right onto Madison Avenue. The fairgrounds entrance is about 1 mile on the left.
